Jersey Boys was done at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center (CPAC) through Musical Theatre West (MTW). Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and follows the group through their ups and downs they work to leave the streets of New Jersey and rise to stardom.

As the designer on Jersey Boys, I had the opportunity to fulfill many aspects of a system design include console, video, monitoring, and mic selection for both the cast and orchestra, and integrate these things with the house system at CPAC. Jersey Boys had a fourteen person cast and a ten person band. Six of the band members were wireless, including the whole drum kit, which meant a lot of RF. We were also working under a relatively compressed timeline. Both of these things led to some unique challenges, but with that came some unique learning opportunities. Throughout the tech process, I also felt as though I really worked to find the balance between thinking technically and thinking artistically, communicating on a smaller scale with the audio team and communicating on a larger scale with all other departments, and collaborating while also expressing what we needed as audio. Overall, I'm very grateful for all this experience taught me!
